So finally our holiday has arrived. It has been a mad panic getting everything packed up and as it’s Cornwall you never know what the weather will be like so end up taking your whole wardrobe. Don’t know why but thought it would be a good idea to get up at 5 to avoid the traffic so the journey was going swimmingly until the youngest threw up over everything and everyone. I didn’t even know he gets traffic sick! So with only a pack of wet ones and a bottle of soda water to help the clean up effort and a few smelly hours later we have arrived at our holiday destination. And its gorgeous, thank God.
There wasn’t much to report clothes wise in the run up to going away as I’ve mostly been in sportswear. On the odd occasion I did spruce myself up I wore this old friend from Jigsaw, brought a few years ago. This silk maxi dress has had a lot of wears over the years and the added bonus is that it has pockets and can be chucked in the washing machine. Worn with a rather enormous hat that I brought from a charity shop and white sliders from Jones.
So now down to trying to decide what 13 people en mass can do for their first day in Cornwall. Lots of debate and different opinions means we never get anywhere until lunchtime by which point I’m ready for my first glass of vino.
Thanks of following.
